Carbon Counts Director re-appointed to UN CCS Working Group

Paul Zakkour, Director of Carbon Counts, has been re-appointed as a Member of the UNFCCC CDM Executive Board's CCS Working Group.

The group - created in 2012 in response to requirements of the Modalities and Procedures for CCS under CDM - has worked on incorporating CCS-specific requirements into the CDM standards.

Despite ongoing interest in different parts of the world, it is still awaiting the first full application for a CCS project under CDM since its formation, however.

The Working Group looks forward to seeing the first application and setting about its work for the coming years.
